JOB TITLE: Security and Network Engineer (Full time, Permanent)

REPORTS TO: Head of Technology

SCOPE OF THE JOB: Formation Tech is seeking an experienced, ambitious Security and Networks Engineer to join our successful and fast-growing company.

This is also a great career opportunity for someone who is looking to take a first step towards management, with the future opportunity to help lead the engineering side of the business.

As a field engineer, you shall be actively involved in delivering projects and supporting services, focused on security and managed networks services. The role will also require the applicant to work on troubleshooting and optimising existing managed networks that we support for the client.

The role requires the applicant to attend customer meetings to provide expertise and design decisions as part of our trusted advisor status with the customer and provide implementation services.

An essential part of the role will be to coach and develop our junior engineers. At the start, you shall mentor an existing junior field engineer to help them understand the practical side of field work, alongside the necessary customer management and project skills required to be successful in the field, as well as our apprentices as they transition from dedicated desk-based roles to hybrid field roles.

As we recruit more engineers into the business, you shall be responsible for helping to continually coach and develop them and help set the engineering standard expected of them.

You will be supported by the other senior engineers within the business.
